This explains what goodiesSnap collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to get rid of it. It matches what the app actually does.
The short version. We collect your email, your display name and what you post. Dish photos and imported text are sent to an AI provider to produce a recipe. We do not track you, we run no advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your data. You can delete everything from inside the app.

| Your saved recipes, lists and plans | When you have an account, your recipe library, shopping list, meal plan and taste preferences are backed up to your account so they follow you to a new device. |
| Guest session | Before you create an account, the app opens an anonymous guest account tied to a random identifier kept on your device, so the free AI actions work without signing up. |
| ZIP code (optional) | If you ask for local store prices, the ZIP code you enter is sent to find nearby stores. We do not store it on our servers. |
On your device and in your account: your saved recipe library, shopping list, meal plan and taste preferences are kept on your device and, once you have an account, backed up to it. Deleting your account deletes the backup. The copy on your phone stays until you remove the app.
These are service providers acting on our instructions. We do not give anyone your data for their own marketing.
Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed immediately, along with your posts, comments, likes, group memberships and uploaded photos. Content reports may be retained after deletion where we need them to keep other users safe or to comply with the law.
In the app: Profile → Account → Delete my account. It is permanent and takes effect immediately. If you cannot access the app, email us and we will do it for you.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us and we will act within the time the law requires. The in-app deletion above satisfies a deletion request immediately.
goodiesSnap is not for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted at the database level so one account cannot read another's private records, and AI provider keys are held on our server and never shipped inside the app. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
If we make a material change we will update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect.
